The snow has been flying on the passes, which means the skiers and snowboarders headed to Stevens Pass got their wish this morning! Everything looks beautiful and bright here in Leavenworth, and while it should warm up in the next couple of days, there's more snow on the horizon for this week. Come visit soon and fall in love with winter.
We are so thankful for the Leavenworth community, for the wonderful guests we've had at Snowgrass Lodge and Heartwood House, and for the beauty of the Leavenworth area. We’re looking forward to an amazing 2019!
We wish you all the best and hope your year is filled with adventures with family and friends in the most beautiful places on earth. If you are looking to come to town for the winter season, please check for availability on www.snowgrasslodge.com
Big group? Snowgrass Lodge sleeps up to 12 and has private rooms for 4 couples.
Just a few? Heartwood House is perfect for two couples or a family of four. There are still several ski season weekends open this winter!
We’ve had quite a lot of snow falling in Leavenworth today, and at Snowgrass Lodge. Kids flocked to the sledding hill, cars drove more carefully (but slipped around anyway), and people relished the sudden change, and its beautiful inconveniences.
The seasonal brrrr always makes you appreciate that warm chai or rich latte indulgence just a little more. The turning-wet snow may end up a raining mess, whether it's falling from the sky or slopping around in the streets, but it also also brings out those brightly-colored umbrellas and the foresighted people who wield them--people who show us that all types of snow can be fun if you bring your umbrella next time...
We did know winter was coming. (We always know winter is coming.) But when it inevitably does, it’s still somehow a surprise.
So here’s to surprises that kick us out of our usual ways of doing things, six inches of snow at a time.
